Week 1 - New Paradigm, Old "Issues"

1 week into committing to track my food and follow a simple program! I'm excited to say that Troy has been doing well, tracking his food, I think... he's always on his phone, so I'll say that is what it is... I've been about 80% with tracking my food this week and stayed under my calorie target for the food I tracked. My "cycle" is on so I'm retaining a little weight, I feel confident that the scale will move significantly next week. I asked Troy this week "What can I do to be a better wife?" He proceeded to go on a 7 minute tirade about how I "interrupt" him, by asking questions, when he's talking. My questions disrupt his train of thought and he can't get his point out. Full disclosure: I was NOT happy about his complaint. I listened and didn't respond, I had several questions, I didn't ask. What has been done, can be done again

SO many things have changed, yet so many other things have stayed the same! I see that it has been several years since I blogged, I have been writing in journal regularly for the past 2 years... off and on, much like too many things in my life. I have thought to do a bring you up to speed post, one day... Today I am posting for accountability and to have documentation of my mindset and thought process behind what we are about to embark on to reach out health goals. This morning, I logged in a weight of 354.4lbs my waist is 50 inches, my hips are 58 inches, my thighs are 34 inches. I remember last year, in March when I went to Israel for the 1st time. Walking the streets of Israel, at a hurried pace, with friends to get a sense of Christ's experience, I remember thinking... "What have I done to my body? This gift of a temple has been trashed and abused, clocking in at 180.2lbs overweight. How did I NOT fix this before??" I came home, dazed and distra...
